STUDY- Dorot Inc.
DOROT's mission is to enhance the lives
of Jewish and other elderly in the Greater New York
City Metropolitan area through a dynamic partnership
of volunteers, professionals, and elders.
In the summer of 2002, Dorot was
beginning a transition from one word-processing program
to another (Corel Wordperfect to Microsoft Word). However,
Dorot’s office staff included people with widely
varying levels of familiarity with the new software.
Dorot approached earlSpeak for help and after a comprehensive
analysis of the typical needs of a Dorot staff member,
we created an intermediate-level, one-day training seminar
of Microsoft Word conducted at earlSpeak’s computer
training lab in midtown Manhattan. Follow-up support
was also provided by earlSpeak via email and telephone.
Now, Dorot is smoothly operating on
the new Microsoft Word platform.
